At the beginning of April, we received the news that our brokerage was nominated as a finalist for not one, not two, but THREE Mortgage Awards of Excellence categories: Community Service for an Organization, Regional Brokerage for Alberta, and Best Media/Marketing Campaign for a Brokerage.
Good thing it came after April Fool’s or else we would have thought the MAE team was joking...
And not only that, one of our brokers, Eden Simari with Salveo Mortgage & Financial Wellness, was also nominated as well for the Best Media/Marketing Campaign for an Individual category.
The submission process takes a bit of work. We have to outline our accomplishments and highlights from the past year for the judges to review. So, when we receive those finalist emails and see our names listed among the other finalists, it feels pretty good to see our work recognized.
But the crazy thing about each of our submissions?
We didn’t once mention the number of mortgages funded or sales volume.
"We’ve always believed that it’s not about volume,” says Quantus co-owner, Paul Bojakli. “It’s about our people and building relationships. And being nominated as finalists for these awards is all thanks to our team. They are the ones who are putting in all the work and creating our culture."
Celebrating The Team
And speaking about our team, we chatted with Eden about what her nomination means to her and Salveo.
“I am very honoured to be a finalist in the marketing individual category,” said Eden. “We are doing something very special with our team marketing initiatives for clients and referral partners alike. We feel we are levelling up the sophistication factor with our mortgage marketing and are very pleased to have these efforts recognized on a National stage.”
You can see all of Eden’s hard work on the Salveo website and on social media. But, more importantly, you can see this hard work reflected in her client reviews.
“Eden was absolutely amazing throughout our home-buying process. We had some tight timelines but she made it work. She was super responsive throughout the process. She would touch base often and even sent reminder emails which were very helpful. Everything was always delivered on or ahead of time. We simply could not ask for more!”

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
We hate to pull out the cheesy line, but teamwork really does make the dream work.
While we wait until May 10 to find out who the winners are, we want to celebrate all the contributions made by everyone involved over the past year.
In 2022, every promotion, every event, and every meeting was met with such enthusiasm and support from the team which you just can’t replicate. We’re thankful every day for all the contributions made by our team in so many ways and we truly would not be here without their dedication and support.
